So, right as I was typing up my last post, El and I noticed the most horrifying commercial EVER. (Okay, well maybe it was the second worst because that dancing toenail fungus commercial is pretty vile). Anyway, there was a commercial that opened with a series of the following four images: a porcupine, blowfish, skunk, and a lobster. What is the product that was being promoted? Vagisil! I'm sorry... if your ladyparts (or should I say, your "down there") can be compared in any capacity to any of the aforementioned creatures, an over-the-counter topical cream is just not going to do the trick. This commercial is horrible!
Uggh! Take a look for yourself...
Because I'm an old lady and I have to be at work at 7:30 every morning, there aren't many nights that I get to watch one of my favorite shows, The Late Show with David Letterman. So imagine my disappointment when not just last night but this night too, I have not been able to watch my show because stupid NCAA basketball is going on live during that time. It's just not fair :(
Sure, most sequels stink, but what movie really needs a sequel?
I don't know that I need a sequel, but I definitely need to have some resolution with respect to the ending of The Last Kiss. I keep watching this movie with others to get opinions about the end, but I have yet to get peace with it.
I would also like to add that though TV shows do not have sequels, I wish that Arrested Development was still in production. That's a show I just need more of!
What were your top 5 TV shows of 2006?
- Scrubs - This season had an awesome, over the top premiere. El got me seasons one and three for Christmas (I already had two and four). Love it!
- The Office - Another Thursday night NBC favorite. I bought season one on a whim, only because I had seen a couple episodes and thought it was really funny. I watched the whole season and got attached. I can totally see that I'm going to be rooting for Pam and Jim like I was for Rachel and Ross.
- My Name is Earl - I guess it's only fitting that I would love this show since I live in Delmar and Joe Dirt is one of my favorite shows.
- Project Runway - Season three had my full attention, even down to a mere third place finish for my favorite designed Laura. I heart that show big time.
- Top Chef - Bravo followed up season three of PR with season two of TC. I'm missing it right now since it's on hiatus until the beginning of 2007 (which sounds much further away than if I was to say it's on hiatus for a couplem more weeks).
